The Vaporizer is an endgame, post-warmode, post-End, post-Phantom superboss fought during the Epilogue. The main purpose of fighting it is to revert the world back from The Epilogue to Hardmode.
The Vaporizer can be summoned by using the World's End Emblem, at any point in the game, though defeating him only has a purpose during The Epilogue.
Stage 1[]
As soon as the boss is summoned, eight small Vaporizer heads will spawn, called "Tiny Vapors." Each one will shoot fireballs at the player in a double-helix pattern, and as soon as they're all defeated, the main boss will shoot up from the ground, displacing blocks around where it emerges and heading for where the player is the exact moment the last Tiny Vapor is killed.
If the player makes any contact with the worm's main body, 300/400(Expert)/600(Master) damage will be dealt and the debuff "Shattering Impact" will be applied, dropping the player's defense to 0. Being hit directly by the head will result in 1,000 damage, effectively an instant kill without some bullcrap levels of defense.
Damaging the boss in this stage will "drain" the double helix pattern of its yellow glow, slowly leaving it dark and not-glowy starting from the tail going to the last segment before the worm's head. When the entire double helix is drained, the body of the worm will crumble away and only the head will be left, starting Phase 2.
After the Vaporizer charges out of the ground, it will coil and attempt to ram the player with its head. If it succeeds, it will continue into the ground and despawn. If the player dodges the attack, it will shoot into the air and hold its head high above the player, then fire a large, bright yellow laser that deals 5 damage per tick the player is inside of it, completely bypassing invincibility frames, as well as leaving the player inflicted with the "Deathly Disintegration" debuff, which does 1 damage every five ticks, still completely ignoring invincibility frames. Being killed by the laser will result in the death message "Playername was wiped from existence," or "Playername was deleted by the Vaporlaser." Dying to the debuff will show the death message "
