The Delta is a Delta Mode exclusive biome. It can infect most biomes, and sometimes biomes that are immune to the spread can mutate if they are surrounded by enough Deltified blocks. The Delta is the fastest spreading biome in the game. If you want to deal with the spread, use hallowed blocks to surround The Delta, as the Hallow and Underground Hallow are immune and won't mutate.
